An archival pigment print of an original painting. Printed on matte litho archival paper with a half inch border around the edge to allow for a variety of framing options. Original oil painting is 16 x 16 inches on panel and is an exclusive commission for The Rubin Report.
Designed to appeal to The Rubin Report aesthetics and the conceptual concepts of the show, the painting distills the play of energy from thoughts and ideas into light, color, and form. There is an infinite spiraling play of light and dark, which represents polarities of ideas and emotions. The light and dark colors are seen as opposite, but inextricably linked within a whole, as they appear to dance together. The red movement and passion spirals around referencing the spiral pattern found throughout nature as a global unifier. We experience the contrast of duality, but can find solace in common ground symbolizing the interconnected whole of nature and consciousness.
