The layers of thick, glassy, luminescent color simply cannot be captured in a photograph.There is planning that goes into the piece, but physics, heat, and the chaos of chance allow the resin to paint itself, and I only guide it and work with it's naturally unfolding process.
I am inspired by my love of the earth and it's unfathomable myriad of interconnected and pulsing life. In this series of paintings, I am re-imagining a shifting landscape of terrain as the earth is rapidly changing, melting, and reforming. I look towards the beauty and possibility that presents as we adapt ourselves to it.
